Barry Windsor Smith & the WHITHERING

Eerie, finely detailed mid-1970's Barry Windsor Smith black & white ink drawing of a dead forest titled the Whithering.

The spectre of death originally was not part of the original art and was later added for the fantasy market. It's one of my favorite BWS pieces.

There was also a higher-res printing along with a BWS article in maybe a Marvel or industry magazine of the 70's, but more likely the 80's, but I can't recall where.
