I was going to come back here and point out that, while it's ass hattery of the highest order to ban a book from a class, a parent should be allowed to modify their own children's reading list to reflect their families morals.
Then I read Diana complained to her father. She was given an alternate reading assignment, but her dad is pushing the issue.
Fortunately, the pressures of reality mean these types of people are diminishing in number.
