The vigour of these strips blows my mind.
The panel that shows Supes and the bullet side by side is surprisingly modernistic. I wasn't aware that artists of the Golden Age used that relative motion gimmick you see so often in manga.
Manga had to get it from somewhere.
This page is just stunning. It's easy to see why superhero comics took the world by storm. That last huge exclamation point is awesome.But please tell me the next panel doesn't show Superman chucking that guy into the next county.

Superman used to be so hard core.
One of the magical qualities of being from the planet Krypton is that the font size changes to a much larger size whenever your name is mentioned.
That's actually kind of a weak punishment for attempted murder.
There were a lot more hyphens in the Gold-en Age. That's what made it golden.
Moderation enabled only because of trolling, racist, homophobic hate-mongers.
