Ripping the curtain

As a kid I was a voracious reader of science fiction, fantasy and science and this book is definitely firmly of the first and second category. I like how the publisher got their money's worth from the photo shoot for including pics of the "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Vartox!"crowd on the front and back covers.

  1. When I was 10 years old Maj. Donald E. Keyhoe ("Flying Saucers: Top Secret") spoke at the father-son pancake supper at St. Stephens School in 1960. In Alexandria, Va. I had the book, as did many of my classmates. After his speech he fielded questions from the audience while still standing behind the lectern. I stood next to him during this phase of the evening; and as he talked, he kept hitting me with his elbows. He was really short, elfin even. Like Donald Rumsfeld.
