Nertz. Spider-Man post-One More Day doesn't suck.
Wise-cracking, loner, part-time loser Peter Parker IS better.
Looks like Joe Quesada was r-r-r-r-r...
He was r-r-r-r-r...
Joe Quesada was r-r-r-r-r-r...
He was right, okay?

So the fact that someone can still write a decent story about Spider-Man validates all that One More Day drivel?
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing the connection here.
Well DUH dude! Of course he is better single! I dropped Spidey, (my favorite hero) the issue he proposed. Now, I just may start reading his titles again! Peter is a lonely loser. It just works. Joe Q is the man! All is right with the world!
ReplyDeleteLady, have you been reading the same comic I have (though I don't actually pay for it)?
ReplyDeleteI love Dan Slott and all, but I can't help but notice how bad BND is.
I think we all got sick of "OH NOES, I AM OUT OF THE WEBS" a long time ago. You'd think he'd put some spare cartridges on it.
I'm sorry, but I can't read it now, knowing that Peter went from "25, married, moved out of his Aunt's house, with a job, and though God still seems to hate him, he's still a great guy" to "25, single, unemployed, living with his mother figure, and a virgin".
Virgin stems from the fact that Joey Q finds sex before marriage is immoral, as is divorce.
Making deals with the devil, however? It's cool.
On top of that, Harry is back for no reason, so that really touching scene where Harry, dying, telling Pete he was his best friend? Gone.In it's place we have Harry letting Pete MOOCH off him.
I could go on, but I don't want to nerdrage all over the place.
"25, single, unemployed, living with his mother figure, and a virgin"
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, next year I become Spider-Man!
