    If you listen, you can even hear the hypnotic beeps and pings of the equipment behind them.

    Of course when they actually did do something, it was always histrionic to the ninth degree. They truly rivaled Star trek for inventive use of Styrofoam on the "alien" sets. One episode actually had trees with styrofoam balls in the ends of the branches.

    As a kid, I had the worst crush on Maya from season 2...
