Stealing fire from the Gods

If Fred Hembeck can do it and make a gajillion dollars then so can I.

My reinterpretation of Superboy #159 (v1, December 1969) after Fred Hembeck who is after Neal Adams.

I like your version best. But then I don't quite get Fred's recreating old covers. All he does is produce a faithful copy of the original in his own cartoony style - what's the point?

I'm not bashing him, I just don't find his versions have anything to say that wasn't already there. But redoing classic covers with stick figures? I think you may be on to something there.

Do you do requests?

I like it, but the knees may not be swirly enough.

Yeah, but all it ever says to me is "goodbye".

Well, have about $100 say goodbye and send it my way.
