As glad as I am to see the old New Universe back in publication getting the Warren Ellis treatment, I have a question about the art by Salvador Larroca. Doesn't Marvel have a policy now about using photo references in their art? I'm sure I noticed the features of Nicole Kidman, Sawyer from LOST, Johnny Depp from The Ninth Gate, Bruce Willis, the Prison Break guy, Gene Hackman, a few other popular actors and actresses and, like with the sheriff, some obvious references taken from some much-used but lesser-known character actors all over the book.
Just asking.

I hope they have such a policy in place. I get enough Samuel L. Jackson in my crappy movies, let alone my comics.
ReplyDeleteThe 'prison break guy' is the terrific character actor Peter Stormare.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if Peter can act. IT'S A STUPID SHOW.
