No lie, the best pizza I ever ate was in South Korea at the Golden Gate restaurant. The pizza was about 2 inches thick and came with a table full of condiments. Bamboo shoots, fish, various veggies and other side dishes including kimchi. You haven't lived until you have had kimchi on a pizza.

This is Jon the Intergalactic Gladiator, and I can't leave a comment as me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was stationed in Turkey, there was a place in Istanbul that served brick oven pizzas featuring an egg baked in the middle. My oppinion of them may be a bit skewed because my only other pizzas were from on base and the crust was essentially a large, round saltine, but that was one of the best pizzas that I've ever tasted.
That sounds tasty! Ever have a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it? That's another thing I first experienced in Korea. I would get them at Miss Kim's McDonalds' (she was an outdoor street vendor with a grill).
