I think it was good that he lived to see his creation (with Bill Finger) of the Alan Scott Green Lantern be treated with respect. Alan Scott had become the greatest legacy hero of the DCU by being the moral compass of not only the other characters as their moral compass but perhaps of the publishing company as well. Alan Scott has become DC's center and as long as he is a regular feature, maybe comics won't be so depressing, gory and grim. A man could have a worse legacy.

Thanks for the hours of entertainment and years of memories, Mr. Nodell.
